We are all moved and settled in to our new place!

Okay... none of that is really true.

We had hoped and planned to have moved by now but things don't always go as we plan. We are still waiting for the green light to GO! In the meantime, we need to move from our apartment no later than the middle of next week. The middle of next week! I of course have been freaking out just a bit this week. Never in my life have I been in this position. Will we be in Oklahoma next week? Still in Washington? Somewhere in between, living under a bridge?

At least I still have my good sense and humor. To be continued......

Together again

We took some photos the other day of the whole family. I love getting family snapshots!

This week school will get out for summer. We are also all packed and ready to move. Just waiting for the green light at this point. We are all can hardly wait.....

KABOOM

Last Friday it was beautiful out so we loaded up the kids and the racecar and headed towards Portland International Raceway. You see, dear hubby has a hobby of drag racing. He has an old '85 Cutlass which he has lovingly named Hell Bitch. Don't ask... its a guy thing. Lol! So here he and HB are in the Pits waiting inspection.

And after being cleared, here HB is getting ready for her first run in the Pacific Northwest... She's from Oklahoma originally. She likes it best there truth be told.

And here in this picture, at the finish line, we heard a ear peircing KABOOM!

And here's the reason why- The drive line gave out and blew out the transmission in the process.

This was HB one and only run while here in Washington. What a way to go. Now, back to Oklahoma to rebuild. Husband says she runs better there. I sure hope he's right. Lol!

5K - "I Topped the Rock"

Yesterday, at a whopping 40 years old, I did my first 5K. The darling daughter inspired me.

Here's a pic of the "Rock" we had to climb along the way. It's the hillside there covered in trees.

HHR

My last car was a Chevy Trailblazer. I loved it. It was my all time favorite car! Then gas prices shot through the roof, I began commuting to work, and the fact of the matter was.... it was a gas hog. I could no longer afford my favorite car. :(


So after many months of research, I bought a Chevy HHR flex fuel vehicle about this time last year. A couple of weeks ago I had made a trip to Seattle. On my way there, I looked down at the dash to see this-

I was estatic. My trailblazer got about half of that on the freeway. A little further down the road I glanced at the dash again and it read this-

I do lurve this car too. <3

Crazy

Life is crazy around here. Up to the eyeball in boxes. Getting excited for the move. The countdown in on.
